Tian Tong Star

Tian Tong belongs to the Water element and is the fourth star of the Southern Dipper, master of the Karma Palace, transforming into blessing. It is the gentlest of the 14 major stars — governing fortune, enjoyment, popularity, and emotion. People with Tian Tong in their Life Palace are easygoing, blessed with good food and company, and naturally put others at ease. The classics say Tian Tong "fears not the assault of Qi Sha, nor the entanglement of any fierce star — in all twelve palaces it is counted as fortune." A star that turns misfortune into blessings. But blessings have a price — Tian Tong people are prone to complacency and low drive, escaping under pressure. The texts warn that with the four fierce stars in Si-Hai, the blessing is "discounted." Whether Tian Tong is "sweet after bitter" or "born into comfort" depends on whether the challenging stars are present to motivate it.

Gentle, kind, optimistic, and popular — enjoys the good life. Weaknesses: complacent, lazy, low stress tolerance, prone to retreating when the going gets tough.

Suited to service, food & beverage, travel, entertainment, and education — industries that "make people happy." Tian Tong does poorly under high-pressure competition; a relaxed environment brings out its charm. With Tian Liang or Tai Yin, prospects improve.
